Civil Defense Strengthens Safety Measures with 2584 Commercial Inspections in H1 of 2024

The Ministry of Interior has revealed that the Civil Defense's Department of Protection and Safety has conducted a comprehensive review of 2584 commercial registrations during the first half of this year.
This proactive approach to safety includes inspection campaigns across 823 establishments, including 212 facilities targeted in collaborative campaigns across various governorates.
The department's dedication to ensuring safety standards is reflected in the number of license inspections conducted. A total of 1952 routine inspections were carried out, while 2120 random inspections were conducted.
These inspections aim to ensure that businesses and organizations are adhering to safety regulations, including fire safety measures and compliance with building codes.
The department's commitment to safety is further demonstrated by its licensing programme. They have issued 559 licenses for fire and door equipment, guaranteeing that these essential safety features meet the highest standards. Additionally, they have issued 102 licenses for fire and safety equipment, ensuring that businesses are equipped to handle emergencies.
The department also plays a crucial role in supporting the industry by issuing 5 licenses for technical offices operating in the field of civil defense.
They have also issued 30 licenses for companies specialising in the installation and maintenance of alarm and fire extinguishing systems, ensuring that these critical systems are functioning effectively.
