Definition of humanity

I could not believe the beautiful and heartwarming scene before my eyes! The scene was filled with feelings of love, care and loyalty. I hope that I will be able to convey the story with all meanings of appreciation and value. 

One evening, on a weekend, I was out with my family in the neighborhood, when I saw a man crying hysterically, he was surrounded by people who were all concerned by how intensely he was weeping. We were not able to leave this devastated man crying all alone, in which we offered to help him in any way possible! We then on understood that this man from Nepal was mourning and hugging his dead dog. 

It was a heartbreaking scene that gave me goosebumps. I tried to calm the man to the best of my ability, who was crying hysterically and continuously. We then on, came to the understanding that the man was working in one of our neighbor’s house, in which we called them and informed them of what happened. 

What was odd is that the man’s employers (my neighbors) adored the diseased dog and he had a genuine place in their hearts, although they only had him for two months. I would only like to explain or convey how people are able to get attached to a pet in such a short period of time! What if they had the dog for years!? Would that weeping person actually commit suicide?! 

In my personal opinion, I believe that this short story conveys many lessons and values, it teaches or reminds us of the concepts of humanity that we might have forgotten. This person has proven that he has a big heart that cares about all living creatures, although he was not a Muslim. 

I also believe that this person carries their wonderful traits in all aspects of his life including his job and personal life.

In the meantime, I have received a horrible video through social media of people who promote the idea of torturing animals in a disgusting manner. One video was about burning a mouse’s tail for fun and laughter! 

The Religion of Islam preaches Muslims to treat animals fairly and in a proper manner even when they are killed for food. There are many verses in the Quran and Prophet Mohamed may Peace be Upon Him sayings that prove that. 

All I want to say through this article, is for all mankind to learn from this one very heartwarming example of humanity and civilization towards all living creatures!
