The Director General of the Southern Municipality, Eng. Issa Abdulrahman Al-Buainain, has reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to developing its capabilities and tools to keep pace with modern methods of receiving and processing public complaints and suggestions, ensuring faster and more convenient services for citizens.

In line with this goal, the Southern Municipality has launched a unified communication line via WhatsApp at 17986000 to handle general inquiries and follow up on transaction completions in the shortest possible time.

The same number also serves as a direct telephone contact, with calls transferred to relevant departments for prompt response, updates, and guidance on any additional documents required to complete procedures.

Al-Buainain noted that the municipality prioritizes improving its communication channels with the community, paying close attention to all comments, complaints, and suggestions it receives.

During the first half of this year, the municipality recorded 1,096 submissions through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), including 946 complaints, 23 suggestions, and 150 inquiries.

Timeframe
All cases were addressed within the timeframe stipulated in the service level agreement.

He emphasised the municipality’s commitment to receiving feedback from citizens through the “Tawasul” platform, local press, and social media, with specialised teams forwarding cases to the appropriate departments for field inspections and necessary action in accordance with municipal procedures.

Al-Buainain concluded by affirming the municipality’s readiness to communicate with citizens, residents, and service requesters through Tawasul, the unified number 17986000 via phone or WhatsApp, or other available channels, stressing the municipality’s dedication to listening to the public, addressing their needs, and completing transactions promptly.
