Repairs to Zayed Town Park’s damaged gates and perimeter fencing are being sought.
First District councillor Abdullah Saleh Daraj has asked the authorities to act.
He said he lodged a formal request through the Southern Municipal Council on 12 May to fix the site, which he described as in poor repair.
The councillor called for faster work on the entrances and boundary fence to keep visitors safe and restore the park’s look.
The park is the only public green space for Zayed Town residents.
He added that he was hopeful of a response from the authorities and that the council will keep following up to ensure the work is carried out as soon as possible.
