Trump Dismisses Munitions Shortage Reports, Asserts US Has ‘Massive Stockpiles’

Washington DC: US President Donald Trump has dismissed media reports alleging critical weapons shortages amid the Iran conflict, insisting the nation possesses "massive amounts" of munitions.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump threatened that leakers making "treasonous statements" are being hunted down and face long jail sentences.
The denial follows reports by CNN and The Washington Post claiming depleted stockpiles—including nearly 80% of THAAD air-defense interceptors constrained military strategy and forced Trump to call off fresh strikes against Iran.
The reports also alleged an exchange at Camp David where Trump questioned Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth about the issue.
However, White House and Pentagon officials strongly rejected the coverage as fictional "FAKE NEWS," denying the confrontation occurred.
Trump added that domestic defense companies are constructing unprecedented numbers of manufacturing plants to continuously supply the US military.
