UN Expert Welcomes Move to Send Tate Brothers to UK

Geneva: UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls Reem Alsalem praised efforts to deport social media stars Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate from the United States to the United Kingdom, saying the move a vital step toward accountability for severe charges of abuse against women.
Alsalem stated that legal processes must be allowed to proceed without intervention, and that no individual should be above the law. The Tate brothers are wanted in the UK on charges of rape, human trafficking, and other crimes, which they deny. They dispute the extradition request through legal channels.
Separate investigations are also underway in Romania, where the brothers dismissed charges of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and involvement in an organised criminal gang. Alsalem stated that establishing fair legal process is critical to providing justice to claimed victims while upholding accountability under the rule of law.
