Doha, Moscow Review Bilateral Ties and Security Developments
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the call, the two officials reviewed cooperation between Qatar and Russia and explored ways to further strengthen ties. They also discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability across the region.
Qatar Stresses Dialogue to Protect Regional Stability
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of all parties committing to dialogue and diplomacy, while supporting the implementation of agreements aimed at maintaining regional security.
He also stressed the significance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and protecting recent diplomatic gains to help strengthen stability in the region.
The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed Doha’s support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would contribute to lasting peace and security.
