Trump Dismisses Report China Entities Aided Iran Before Fatal Strike

Washington DC: US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports alleging Chinese entities provided satellite imagery to Iran ahead of a fatal strike on American troops.
The July missile attack on a military base in Jordan resulted in the deaths of three US service members.
Unnamed officials reported that Iranian forces obtained high-resolution base imagery from Chinese suppliers prior to launching the strike.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump downplayed the intelligence concerns by equating the activity to mutual surveillance, stating, ‘They basically do what we do.’
US officials cited in the report stopped short of alleging direct involvement by Beijing or publicly identifying the specific commercial entities involved.
The administration's effort to play down tensions comes as Washington and Beijing prepare for an expected diplomatic summit between Trump and President Xi Jinping on September 24.
