Russian Strike on Ukraine Warehouse Kills 3

KYIV: A Russian strike on agricultural warehouses in Ukraine's northeastern Chernigiv region killed three people and wounded seven on Monday, according to local police. 

The attack struck a commercial facility in Pryluky, a town of approximately 50,000 residents situated about 120 kilometers east of Kyiv.

The bombardment is part of a systematic Russian offensive aimed at disrupting Ukrainian logistics.

Since June, strikes have destroyed or damaged dozens of warehouses and distribution centers across the country, many of which supply Ukraine's largest supermarket chains and retailers.

These targeted disruptions have caused store shortages and prompted growing fears of consumer price increases.

Images released by Ukrainian police depicted mounds of bricks and rubble piled in front of an agricultural building with a partially destroyed roof. 

Police provided no details regarding the business owner or specific weapons used in the assault.

Moscow made no immediate statement, though it historically denies hitting civilian infrastructure.

The Pryluky attack comes as both nations step up long-range strikes against each other while diplomatic efforts to end the four-and-a-half-year war remain completely deadlocked.
