Sharjah cuts NOC issuance time from three days to just two hours

Sharjah: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has reduced the time required to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) from three working days to two hours, as part of efforts to speed up government services and encourage development initiatives in the emirate.
Applicants can now submit requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week via SEWA's website and smart app. The technology uses automatic data verification and lets applicants to see the status of their applications in real time.
The quicker approach is designed to help infrastructure, building, and development projects by shortening approval times and enhancing cooperation among stakeholders. SEWA stated that the program is part of Sharjah's overall digital transformation efforts and aims to improve the emirate's business and investment environment.
