IAEA Probes Reported Strike on Iran Nuclear Site

No radiological risk seen; agency urges restraint

The International Atomic Energy Agency is investigating reports of an overnight attack on the construction site of a planned nuclear power plant in Darkhovin, Iran.

The facility is still in early construction and held no nuclear material during the IAEA's last visit.

Officials say the reported attack poses no radiological risk. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi renewed his call for military restraint near all nuclear-related sites.

The agency has contacted Iranian authorities for details and will release further updates as they emerge.
