UAE Rejects Claims of $3 Billion Transfer to Iran
Confirms that no frozen Iranian assets have been released or transferred
The United Arab Emirates strongly denied media reports alleging it transferred funds to the Islamic Republic of Iran, including claims involving USD 3 billion.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the allegations as “entirely false and unfounded,” stressing that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or facilitated through the country.
The Ministry further emphasized that the UAE has not been involved in any financial transactions related to frozen Iranian assets.
It also urged media organizations to ensure accuracy in reporting, rely on verified official sources, and avoid circulating unsubstantiated claims or misinformation.
