Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday welcomed the country’s ambassadors posted across the Gulf and wider region for the Regional Envoys’ Conference being held in Islamabad from May 14 to 18.

The conference, hosted by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brings together envoys serving in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and neighbouring countries to discuss regional developments, diplomatic priorities and economic cooperation.

Addressing the diplomats, Dar said Pakistan remained committed to proactive diplomacy and strengthening strategic partnerships amid evolving regional and global dynamics.

He underlined the importance of expanding economic cooperation with “brotherly countries” while continuing efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.

Dar also urged the envoys to engage in focused and productive deliberations during the conference and directed them to present practical recommendations to advance Pakistan’s diplomatic and economic priorities across the region.

According to the foreign minister, Pakistan’s diplomatic missions abroad continue to play a key role in promoting the country’s interests and reinforcing its position as a constructive partner for regional connectivity, peace and shared prosperity.
