Bahrain, UK discuss defence cooperation and regional security

Manama: HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard, received Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom’s Senior Defence Adviser for the Middle East, in Manama on Wednesday.
HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the depth of strategic relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, praising ongoing bilateral cooperation in defence and security.
He stressed the importance of building on existing agreements and strategic partnerships, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), to enhance security and stability and serve shared interests.
Discussions also covered regional and international developments, as well as a number of issues of mutual concern, with both sides underscoring the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation to support regional and global peace and stability.
