Obama Urges Americans to Reject Violence After White House Dinner Shooting

Washington DC: Former U.S. President Barack Obama asked Americans to stand against violence after the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
He said that even though the reason behind the attack is still unclear, violence should never be part of a democracy. Obama also praised the security officers who acted quickly to protect people at the event.
His message comes at a time of rising political tension in the U.S., with growing concerns about safety at public events. He stressed that disagreements should be resolved through dialogue, not aggression. Obama also warned that normalising such incidents could further divide society.
