Authorities confirmed that three Omani nationals were safely rescued after their vessel capsized in open waters off the coast of Barka in South Al Batinah Governorate.

According to the Royal Oman Police, the Coast Guard Unit coordinated with a local fishing boat crew to conduct a swift rescue operation, ensuring all three individuals on board were brought to safety without injury.

Following the rescue, the Coast Guard recovered the overturned vessel and towed it to the marine dock at the fishing port in the Wilayat of Barka.

Authorities praised the rapid coordination between emergency responders and local fishermen, noting it played a key role in the operation’s successful outcome. Barka is a coastal wilayat in northern Oman, located along the Sea of Oman and bordered by the Hajar Mountains in the Al Batinah region.
