Swiss Air Flight LX147 Aborts Takeoff in Delhi After Engine Fire; 6 Injured

Swiss International Air Lines flight LX147 (Delhi–Zurich) aborted takeoff at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi early Sunday around 2 AM.
The aircraft, an Airbus A330, experienced an engine malfunction and fire during the takeoff roll.
Crew rejected takeoff at around 104 knots after smoke was observed, reportedly near the left-side wheel/engine area.
A full emergency was declared, and all 232 people onboard (228 passengers + 4 infants) were evacuated using emergency slides.
Six passengers were injured and taken for medical evaluation; crew members were unharmed.
Airport authorities confirmed runway operations resumed after clearance, with no long-term disruption.
SWISS airline activated a technical task force and is sending specialists to investigate

The airline is arranging alternative travel for affected passengers.
