MANAMA : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain has issued a staunch condemnation of recent Iranian attacks targeting energy and petrochemical facilities, as well as critical infrastructure, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Describing the strikes as "sinful," the Ministry stated that these repeated hostile actions are part of a broader pattern targeting civilian and economic facilities across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Bahrain officials labelled the incidents a serious escalation that directly threatens regional peace and stability.
The Ministry further emphasised that such attacks constitute a clear violation of the principles of good neighbourliness, international law, and international humanitarian law. Reaffirming its position, Bahrain expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, pledging complete support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability.
In its statement, Bahrain urged the international community to take firm and decisive action to halt these "hostile and unjustified" attacks against regional states and their peaceful populations. The Ministry cited the necessity of upholding UN Security Council Resolution 2817 and UN Human Rights Council Resolution 38/61. Such global measures, the Ministry added, are essential to ensuring the security of global energy supplies and protecting vital installations against future aggression.
