Indian Worker Killed in Strike on Desalination Plant in Kuwait
A service building at a power generation and water desalination facility in Kuwait was targeted in an attack attributed to Iran on Sunday, resulting in the death of an Indian worker and causing significant damage to the structure, according to Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
In a statement issued early Monday, the ministry confirmed that emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the site and managed the situation in line with established emergency protocols designed to ensure continuity of operations.
The ministry added that coordination is ongoing with the relevant authorities to secure the affected sites and assess the extent of the damage, while efforts continue to maintain stability in essential utility services.
