London: Counter-terrorism police in the United Kingdom have arrested 10 men as part of an investigation into suspected surveillance linked to Iran targeting members of the Jewish community in the London area.

According to the Metropolitan Police, four men were arrested on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service. The suspects one Iranian national and three dual British-Iranian nationals were detained shortly after 1am on Friday in the areas of Barnet and Watford.

Police said the investigation relates to alleged monitoring of locations and individuals connected to the Jewish community in London.

Six additional men were arrested in Harrow on suspicion of assisting an offender. All 10 suspects remain in custody while investigations continue.

Commander Helen Flanagan, head of counter-terrorism policing at the Metropolitan Police, said the arrests are part of a long-running operation aimed at disrupting suspected hostile activity.

She added that authorities understand the concerns such incidents may raise, particularly within the Jewish community, and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police.

Searches are ongoing at several properties linked to the suspects, including locations in Barnet, Watford and Wembley.
