According to police sources, Roy was rushed first to a nearby private hospital and later transferred to Narayana Hospital in the HSR Layout area of the city for emergency treatment, where doctors declared him dead.

The disputes include challenges to tax assessments and appellate proceedings before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and the Karnataka High Court, according to court records.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the raid at Roy’s residence was directly linked to these cases.
