Fujairah Court Hands 126-Year Sentence in Bribery Case
Fujairah Criminal Court convicted 44 defendants in a bribery and forgery case dating back to 2018, sentencing the main defendant to 126 years in prison, a Dh50,000 fine and deportation.
The case involved a public employee who accepted cash to illegally fast-track lease transactions, coordinating with intermediaries via phone and WhatsApp. Other defendants received jail terms, fines, and deportation based on their roles.
