Saudi Naval Forces Float First Combat Ship in US
Wisconsin: The Royal Saudi Naval Forces have floated the vessel Jalalat Al-Malik Saud, the first combat ship under the Tuwaiq Project, in Wisconsin, US. The ceremony was attended by senior Saudi and US military officials, including Vice Adm. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghraibi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
The Tuwaiq Project involves building four multi-mission combat ships, enhancing the navy's capabilities to protect Saudi Arabia's strategic interests and secure maritime routes. The ships feature advanced combat systems for various naval warfare missions.
The project reflects Saudi Arabia's efforts to modernize its naval force with advanced technologies and training programs. It also involves developing King Abdulaziz Naval Base and establishing maintenance and training facilities.
The Saudi-US cooperation on the project strengthens their strategic partnership in defense and technology, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
