Flash Flood Warning Issued for Makkah Region
Saudi Arabia’s National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has issued an alert warning of moderate to heavy rainfall across several governorates in the Makkah region, with the risk of flash floods expected from Monday to Wednesday.
According to a detailed weather bulletin released on Saturday, the affected areas include Jeddah, Al Kamil, Adham, Rabigh, Khulais, and Bahrah. The NCM report highlights the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by hail and downdraft winds strong enough to stir dust and reduce visibility.
The Saudi Civil Defence has called on residents and visitors in these regions to remain vigilant, avoid flood-prone areas, and follow all official safety instructions and updates issued by authorities.
