Dunwoody earns Bahrain Victorious WorldTour promotion

Northern Irish rider Seth Dunwoody will join Bahrain Victorious’ WorldTour team for the 2027 season after progressing through the team’s junior and development programmes. The 20-year-old Classics specialist has enjoyed a strong 2026 campaign, winning the Irish Elite Road Race Championship and the U23 European Points Race title, while finishing runner-up at Paris-Roubaix Espoirs and Gent-Wevelgem/Kattekoers-Ieper.

Dunwoody said the promotion was a “dream come true” and thanked the team, staff and his family for supporting his development. His move marks another step in Bahrain Victorious’ pathway for young riders; the team said his performances during WorldTour appearances this season confirmed his readiness for the sport’s highest level.

Seth Dunwoody is set to step up to Bahrain Victorious’ WorldTour squad in 2027 following an impressive rise through the team’s development system. The 20-year-old Northern Irishman has recorded major results this season, including the Irish Elite Road Race title, U23 European Points Race crown and runner-up finishes at Paris-Roubaix Espoirs and Gent-Wevelgem/Kattekoers-Ieper.

Dunwoody has also gained experience with the WorldTour team this season at races including the AlUla Tour, Tour des Alpes-Maritimes and Ename Samyn Classic. Bahrain Victorious said his performances have strengthened its belief that he is ready to compete at the highest level of professional cycling.
