Be careful with unexpected emails, text messages, and WhatsApp messages containing links or attachments. Cybercriminals often create messages that look like they come from banks, delivery companies, social media platforms or even people you know.
Before clicking, check the sender, look closely at the web address and consider whether you were actually expecting the message. Avoid entering passwords, card details or one-time verification codes on websites opened through suspicious links.
If a message says "Act now," "Your account will be blocked," or "You have won a prize," take a moment to verify it through the company's official website or app.
