Dubai Fountain Set to Reopen After Five-Month Renovation

After a five-month hiatus, the Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, is set to reopen on October 1, once again taking center stage as the heart of Downtown Dubai. The iconic attraction is expected to draw both local and international visitors, many of whom have eagerly awaited updates on its reopening.

The first phase of renovation, completed ahead of schedule, involved essential maintenance including tiling, water insulation, and repainting, ensuring the fountain’s signature beauty and operational safety. Phase Two, planned for completion in the second quarter of 2026, will introduce innovative features designed to enhance the overall visitor experience.

Upon reopening, regular show timings will resume. Afternoon performances will be held at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm daily, with Friday shows at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Evening shows will run from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at 30-minute intervals, offering multiple opportunities for visitors to enjoy the fountain’s spectacular choreography.

Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar, described the fountain’s return as “a celebration of Dubai itself – its spirit, its energy, and its ability to inspire the world.” He added that the landmark continues to create “shared moments of wonder and joy,” reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global destination for culture, leisure, and innovation.

As the Dubai Fountain prepares to light up the Downtown skyline once more, anticipation is high for both residents and tourists. With Phase Two renovations on the horizon, audiences can look forward to fresh experiences that will continue to evolve and inspire.
