Oman to Launch Golden Visa Programme for Investors on August 31
Oman is set to launch its new golden visa programme for investors on August 31, as part of the country’s efforts to attract global investment and speed up its digital shift in business.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion announced that the golden visa will be introduced alongside two major initiatives — the “Al Majida Companies” programme, which supports high-performing Omani businesses, and a new online service that allows the electronic transfer of commercial registrations through the “Oman Business” platform.
The launch event will be held in Salalah, under the patronage of Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. During the event, the ministry will also sign cooperation agreements with Sultan Qaboos University, the German University of Technology, the Oman Energy Association, and Ebinaa, all aimed at boosting the growth of Oman’s construction sector.
Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Douhani, Director-General of Planning at the ministry, said the golden visa programme is designed to provide investors with long-term stability and growth opportunities, while also giving Omani companies more incentives to expand both at home and abroad.
He added that the new digital system for transferring commercial records will save time and costs for businesses, while improving efficiency and transparency.
“These initiatives show Oman’s commitment to building a stronger, more sustainable business environment,” Al Douhani said. “By combining regulatory reforms with support for local companies, and linking academic expertise with private sector needs, we aim to nurture national talent and drive innovation.”
