Saudi Arabia has officially handed over 60,000 shares of sacrificial livestock to Egypt and Palestine as part of the Kingdom’s Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi. The initiative aims to distribute sacrificial meat to those in need across the Islamic world.
During a ceremony at the Saudi embassy in Cairo, Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Egypt Abdulrahman bin Salem Al-Dahas delivered the shares—30,000 for Egypt and 30,000 for Palestine. The event was attended by officials from both recipient nations.
Dr. Saad Al-Wabel, General Supervisor of the project, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensuring efficient distribution and maximum benefit from sacrificial meat in 26 Islamic countries. He reaffirmed that the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to humanitarian aid, particularly in crisis-stricken areas.
Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh, expressed deep gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued generosity. He noted that this year’s delivery is particularly crucial as the Gaza Strip faces severe humanitarian challenges, requiring intensified relief efforts.
Egyptian officials also extended their appreciation to Saudi leadership for its unwavering support of Arab and Islamic communities.
The Project for Utilization of Hady and Adahi, overseen by the Islamic Development Bank, facilitates the proper distribution of sacrificial meat from pilgrims, ensuring it reaches those in need across the Muslim world.
