EDGE Wins Major Deal to Supply 168 Unmanned Helicopters to UAE

EDGE, a leading global defence and advanced technology group, has secured two major contracts to supply 168 unmanned helicopters to the UAE Ministry of Defence.

The deal is considered one of the largest global orders for autonomous unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to date. Under the agreement, EDGE’s subsidiary ANAVIA will deliver 76 HT-100 and 92 HT-750 unmanned helicopters to the UAE MoD.

ANAVIA, based in Switzerland, specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced unmanned aerial systems. Its CEO, Jon Andri Jörg, said the contracts reflect the company’s commitment to supporting advanced intelligence and logistics operations using modern autonomous technology. He added that unmanned systems are playing an increasingly important role in global security and that ANAVIA will continue to develop high-performance solutions while contributing to the UAE’s advanced technology ecosystem.

The HT-100 is a mission-proven unmanned helicopter designed for intelligence and data-gathering missions. It can operate day and night, in difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions. The HT-750, a larger multi-role platform, is designed mainly for logistics operations and can carry heavy payloads with high flight stability.

The contracts were announced during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX) 2026, highlighting EDGE’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the UAE’s national security through advanced unmanned technologies.

Visitors to UMEX and SimTEX 2026 can explore EDGE and its group of companies at Stand 05-010 until January 22.
