Global pop icon Shakira is officially returning to the UAE to headline the second edition of the Offlimits music festival. Scheduled for April 4, 2026, at Etihad Park on Yas Island, the performance marks a centrepiece of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. As the premier act for the full-day, multi-stage event, the Colombian superstar is expected to deliver a high-energy set featuring global hits like "Whenever, Wherever" and "Hips Don’t Lie," alongside tracks from her latest 2024 album. This appearance will be her fourth in the Emirates, following landmark shows in 2007, 2008, and 2011.
The Offlimits festival solidified its place on the capital’s cultural calendar with a successful debut in 2025, headlined by Ed Sheeran. Last year’s event was noted for its dynamic production, featuring massive LED screens and a genre-blending lineup that included OneRepublic and Kaiser Chiefs. Organisers promise an even more ambitious "open-format" experience this year, with a curated selection of global and regional artists yet to be announced. The choice of Shakira, a recipient of the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award with over 95 million records sold, signals the festival's evolution into a world-class musical destination.
Fans eager to catch the performance can purchase tickets starting from Dh595, with sales officially opening at 11 am on Saturday, January 24, via the festival's official ticketing site. Given Shakira’s decade-long absence from the Abu Dhabi stage and her deep-rooted connection to the region through her Lebanese heritage, the event is anticipated to be a sell-out. The festival grounds at Etihad Park will offer an immersive atmosphere, blending music with art and visual installations for a truly "off-limits" experience.
