Bahrain backs Infantino for new term as FIFA chief

Bahrain Football Association president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino to continue in his role for a new election term, starting next year.
Shaikh Ali explained that the renewal of support for Infantino to remain as the FIFA chief comes based on Infantino’s tireless and distinguished efforts, through which football’s international governing body has made long strides towards remarkable developments for the game and FIFA’s member associations.
Shaikh Ali extended his congratulations to Infantino on the occasion of the success of the 72nd General Assembly held in Doha recently. Shaikh Ali pointed out that the great strides made by FIFA in terms of technical and administrative work reflects the federation’s professionalism under Infantino’s chairmanship.
Shaikh Ali added that Bahrain is proud to be among the first countries to announce support for Infantino’s candidacy to remain as FIFA president for a new period, and wished further successes for all involved in world football.
