Al Keralawi FC Lift KPF Football Trophy 2026

Al Keralawi FC were crowned champions of the 3rd Olympian T. Abdul Rahman Ever Rolling Trophy Football Tournament 2026, organised by the Kozhikode Jilla Pravasi Forum (KPF) Bahrain, following a dramatic final held at Al Ahli Stadium, Zinj.

The tournament brought together eight leading football teams from across Bahrain, showcasing strong competition, teamwork, and community spirit throughout the event.

After progressing through the group stages and semi-finals, Al Keralawi FC secured the title in a tense final against GSB FC, winning via a penalty shootout after a closely contested match. GSB FC finished as deserving runners-up after a strong tournament run.

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Esam Isa Alkhayyat, Head of Investment Development, Northern Governorate, Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Bahrain. The event was attended by several dignitaries, diplomats, and community leaders, including representatives from the Embassy of Nepal, Bahrain-based business leaders, and prominent members of the expatriate community.

The winners’ trophy was presented to Al Keralawi FC by KPF Bahrain President Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath and Mr. Praveen, Director of Bazar Discount Centre, one of the principal sponsors. The runners-up trophy was presented to GSB FC by senior members of the KPF executive committee and sports wing leadership.

Individual Awards

  • Best Goalkeeper: Anand (GSB FC)
  • Best Defender: Fayas (GSB FC)
  • Top Scorer: Shafeeq (Marina FC) – 3 goals
  • Player of the Tournament: Manu (Al Keralawi FC)

Individual honours were distributed by KPF patrons, executive committee members, and representatives of the Ladies Wing.

The organisers noted that the tournament was marked by high-quality football, fair play, and strong sportsmanship, successfully achieving its goal of strengthening friendship and unity within Bahrain’s expatriate community.

KPF Bahrain expressed gratitude to its title sponsor Ebrahim K. Kanoo (Toyota), principal sponsors Bazar Discount Centre and Jeans Avenue, event partner Bahrain Media City (BMC), health partner KIMSHEALTH, as well as all supporting sponsors, participating teams, referees, volunteers, and media partners.

Organising committee representatives extended appreciation to everyone involved, stating that the tournament was a “memorable success” and a celebration of community football in Bahrain.
