The Bahrain Tennis Federation’s women’s committee has kicked off its eighth women’s training cycle this week, with eight new groups participating in evening sessions at Isa Town courts.
340+ Women Trained Since 2024
Committee head Jameela Al Nashaba confirmed that the sessions, running until June 4, are held twice weekly and grouped by skill level. Since launching in August 2024, over 340 women have received tennis training through the program.
Regional Participation and Professional Coaching
Led by certified coaches Islam Ashour, Julius Kosgei, Karim Abdulredha, and Ahmed Abduljawad, this cycle also includes participants from Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Morocco, and India.
Empowering Women Through Sport
Al Nashaba emphasized the committee’s dedication to promoting gender balance in sports and creating a healthy, supportive environment for women to learn and thrive in tennis — aligning with the goals of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Women.
Open Invitation for Future Sessions
She also thanked Federation President Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa for his continued support and encouraged women of all levels to register for future training via the federation’s website.
