Asian School Bahrain wins Inter-school Quiz

The Asian School has won the first prize in the Mothercare ISB APJ Inter Junior-school Science Quest 2017 competition final organized by the Indian School Bahrain at its Riffa Campus on Friday.  

The winning team consisted of students Jaden Jerry Thomas and Dev Naveen. The runners-up is the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) team which consisted of  Aritro Ghosh and Neha Ann Roby.   

The event witnessed the enthusiastic preparation of 37 teams from 13 schools in the Kingdom.   

ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan distributed the trophies to winners in the presence of ISB Secretary Dr Shemily P John, Vice-Chairman Muhammed Iqbal, EC Members Jayafar Maidani, Saji Antony, Saji Markose, Principal VR Planiswamy, Riffa campus Principal Sudhir Krishnan, Staff Representative Priya Laji, Mothercare Territory Head Shumalan Naicker, Concept Manger Valladarez, Russel, Humana Sales Manager R Balu and other school officials. 

Quizmaster Sarath Menon and team led the quiz programme. Working across different continents the team had carefully studied the science curricula of different countries to make questions, which are relevant and interesting.

ISB Chairman Prince Natarajan in his address commended “Team Riffa” for the great strides it has been making over the past couple of years. 

Team Riffa has made it possible to create a play area for the tiny tots, the learning ladders, the human flag with over 3500 children, introduced a new C.E.P lab and many more such novel ventures. 

He was all praise for the entire team to have come up with a competition of this magnitude, where 13 schools with 37 teams participated in the quest.

ISB Secretary Dr Shemily P John appreciated and placed on record her deep sense of gratitude to every member of the staff for their invaluable tireless work support towards this elaborate arrangement.

The event also saw many children and others carry back gift/dinner vouchers by answering questions of the audience round.  

Principal Sudhir Krishnan and Vice Principal Pamela Xavier congratulated the winners and participants and appreciated the wholehearted support and cooperation extended by sponsors and parents. 

They were all praise for the entire staff for joining up as a great team in putting up a wonderful show- the first for the Riffa Campus.
