NIS celebrates National Day with zest and fervour
The 45th Bahrain National Day was celebrated in The New Indian School (NIS) with great pomp and grandeur.
The entire campus was decked up to suit the mood. A special assembly was organised to mark the event.
The assembly began with the flag hoisting ceremony by the Principal, followed by the Bahrain National Anthem.
A galaxy of cultural programmes adorned the assembly which included special messages by teachers, foot tapping musical performances, fashion show showing the rich culture of Bahrain.
Students were involved in various activities like colouring of the National flag, decorating the class boards.
In order to show solidarity and love for this beautiful island, all the students and teachers were dressed in red and white, symbolic of the colour of Bahrain National flag. The Director and Principal Dr. V. Gopalan, highlighted the importance of this day in his speech and conveyed his best wishes and goodwill to all the citizens of Bahrain.
