The New Indian School and Bahrain Indian School win laurels ​

The New Indian School(NIS) won the first place in senior level contest in the Bahrain Students Innovation Congress (BSIC) which was organized by Science India Forum Bahrain in association with the Department of Science and Technology, held   at University College of Bahrain in Saar. The team of students from eight schools of Bahrain participated in the congress and contested in the event with their innovative science projects.

The New Millennium School (NMS) and the Asian School Bahrain (ASB) stood the second and third position respectively. In the junior level contest, Bahrain Indian School (BIS) won the first place and Al Noor International School (ANS) and New Horizon School (NHS) won the second and third places respectively.

The science innovation projects were evaluated and scrutinized by the eminent judges from Bahrain and abroad. Dr.Vinodkumar, Senior Professor of Dubai Marine Technology College, was the chief invigilator of the event. The judging panel were inclusive of Prof.Showqi Mohammed Al Dalal of Ahlia University, Dr. Laxmi Narayana Gollapudi of  Bahrain Polytechnic, Matt Toplis, Claire Libeau and Shaun Libeau from Multi National School. The judges were so excited with the projects and the presentation of the talents of Bahrain.

The contest result was announced by Indian Embassy Second Secretary Anand Prakash and the felicitation speeches were delivered by Dr. Salah Al Emarah, President of University College of Bahrain, Dr.Vizaykumar, advisor to the President of University College of Bahrain, and Dr.Ravi Warrier, the Chairman of the Science India Forum advisory Board.

 The Science India Forum Bahrain Chapter President Rajeeshkumar, General Secretary Prasanth Dharmaraj and the executive committee members also were present at University College of Bahrain to organize the event. 

At the event, all participating students were awarded with certificates for their innovative initiatives on their science projects. The winners from the contest will get the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Indian National Children Science Congress (NCSC), to be held in Baramati, Maharashtra this year. 

This national event is scheduled from  December 27 to 31, and it is organized and conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) India.
