Shura applauds BCCI’s economic role

Marking a s h i f t in tone that placed economic policy collaboration at its core, the Shura Council has praised the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) for its decades-long role in national de - velopment and aff i r m e d continued legislative support for the business sector.
The message came as part of a formal tribute from His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Counc i l , t o the chamber on its 86th anniversary. In his note to BCCI Chairman His Excellency Samir Abdullah Nass, H.E. Al Saleh acknowledged the chamber’s legacy of achievements and its influence in strengthening Bahrain’s economic presence regionally and globally.
Policy backing
H.E. Al Saleh highlighted the importance of BCCI’s work not just in commerce and industry, but in advancing Bahrain’s wider economic agenda through cooperation with legislative institutions. He pointed to the chamber’s contributions in supporting reforms and encouraging growth within a dynamic regulatory environment.
Describing the chamber as a vital pillar of economic progress, H.E. Al Saleh stressed that the Shura Council would continue to coordinate closely with BCCI to improve economic legislation and align with Bahrain’s national goals.
Support for enterprise
The statement also recognised the contributions of Bahraini business leaders, both men and women, in maintaining the Kingdom’s economic momentum and driving long-term development under the country’s leadership.
HE Al Saleh concluded by extending his best wishes to BCCI’s board and members, hoping their efforts would continue to deliver progress for the Kingdom and reinforce Bahrain’s regional standing.
