The eagerly anticipated film adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel “Aadujeevitham” by former Bahrain resident Benyamin has received approval for release in the kingdom.

Previously permitted for limited screenings only in the UAE, the film is set to hit Bahraini theatres starting April 3.

Directed by veteran Indian filmmaker Blessy, the movie stars South Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.

“Aadujeevitham” or "The GOATLIFE" tells the gripping tale of Najeeb, who finds himself stranded in the desert of Saudi Arabia after being deceived into herding goats.

The narrative sheds light on Najeeb’s harrowing experiences and the harsh realities he faces, drawing from real-life accounts.

With a global premiere held on Thursday (March 28), across 550 screens, the film also features Hollywood actor and producer Jimmy Jean-Louis, along with Arab actors Talib al Balushi and Rik Aby in prominent roles.

Shot primarily in Jordan, the film boasts contributions from music maestro A R Rahman, renowned sound designer Resul Pookkutty, cinematographer Sunil K S, and editor Sreekar Prasad.
