The General Secretariat of the Shura Council launched its strategic plan for the years 2024-2026 as part of its first qualitative initiatives aimed at developing institutional performance that supports legislative work during the year 2024.

The plan is built on four main pillars, with the contents of the royal speeches of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the forefront. These speeches were delivered by His Majesty at the opening of the sessions of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, containing directives and visions that determine the paths of national work for each stage, in line with the goals of sustainable development and the great efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this regard.

On this occasion, Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council, pointed out that the fourth edition of the General Secretariat’s strategic plan carries an ambitious vision towards pioneering institutional work that is exemplary in excellence and sustainability.

“It provides effective support for legislative work and consolidates the principles of Shura and democracy through a message that includes providing technical and administrative support to members of the Shura Council in a sustainable and effective manner, enabling them to fulfill their parliamentary duties and represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in all forums,” she said.

Moreover, she reviewed the strategic objectives for the years 2024-2026 during the launch of the strategic plan, in the presence of the officials of the General Secretariat. These objectives include institutional and technological support, governance and institutional building, capacity building, as well as research support, knowledge management, and enhancing community communication.
