Al Noor International School has become one of the top international schools in the Gulf.

Recently, the 23rd batch of IGCSE, the 20th batch of AS Level, and the 21st batch of A Level students successfully completed the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations.

Al Noor International School made history when two of their students topped the world in their Cambridge examinations.

Maryam Mahmoud Fouad Ahmed Mansour from Al Noor International School gained the highest marks in the world for Cambridge IGCSE Arabic First Language and Cambridge IGCSE Information and Communications Technology.

Alaa Ashraf Helmy Mohamed Abdelwahab, also from Al Noor International School, gained the highest marks in the world for Cambridge AS Level English.

Maryam and Alaa achieved this after competing with thousands of other students in over 10,000 schools and learning centres in 160 countries around the world who attended these examinations.

While this isn’t the first time that Al Noor International School students have scored the highest marks in the world, it is the first time that two students in the same academic year have achieved this remarkable outcome and the first time that one student has achieved it in two subjects.

Students at Al Noor International School are celebrating their exemplary IGCSE results.

These are phenomenal results, and they have led to a combined outcome of 56% of all students achieving A*, A, and B in the Cambridge IGCSE examinations held in June 2022.

The school continues to set benchmarks and remains a leader in the field of education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In almost all the subjects, the school averages for the students securing Grades A*, A, B, and C are well above the respective world averages.

Around 73% of IGCSE students secured grades between A* and C, indicating excellent performance. 29 students secured a percentile of 100% with a GPA of 4.

Three students received 7A*, 56% secured A*, A, and B, 100% Pass, 271 A*, 276 A, and 291 B grades.

Advanced Level 2022:

Students at Al Noor International School are celebrating their exemplary Advanced Level results.

The highlights of the results are as follows: Three students with 3A* and 1A, Four students with 3A*, 13 students with only A* and A, 43 A*, 59 A, and 67 B grades.

Advanced Subsidiary Level 2022:

Students at Al Noor International School are celebrating the strong Advanced Subsidiary Level results. 17 students received 3As, 77 received A's, and 40 received B's.

It was the vision of its Founder and Chairman, Ali Hasan, that saw Al Noor International School emerge in 1993 from its humble beginnings in Mahooz to the vast institution it is today, supporting the families of a very large section of the Bahrain population.

At the time, Ali recognized the need for a school that would provide a family ethos and access to a range of curricula while remaining affordable to those who would otherwise not have the funds for a private education.

With this in mind, he sought the guidance of the University of Cambridge to provide the British Curriculum, starting from Kindergarten and culminating in Advanced-Level qualifications.

Al Noor International School has been recognised as a Fellowship Centre for Cambridge International Exams, a distinction shared by very few international schools in the Gulf.

Besides the British Curriculum, Al Noor offers other options, including both the Bahraini and the CBSE curricula.

This means that students, upon completing their KG years, are able to choose from three curricula, all of which effectively prepare them to enroll at Universities and colleges throughout the world.

Al Noor is also a recognized exam centre for the Ministry of Education Examinations for Grades 9 to 12.

The fact that the fifteenth group of Bahraini section Grade 12 students appeared for their final year exams in June 2022 and achieved a 100% pass with high marks is equally remarkable and noteworthy.

Part of the school’s mission is to provide a comprehensive education to the students of the Indian curriculum within a conducive multicultural environment, aiming at their all-round development.

Being a recognized CBSE Centre, the fifteenth batch of Grade 10 and the12th batch of Grade 12 students who wrote the exams in March 2022 have achieved an excellent pass rate.

Our school is also a Cambridge Professional Development Centre.

Over the years, the school’s management has given prominence to modern trends in education, and this focus has resulted in further assistance and commitment from Cambridge.

Greater emphasis was placed on teacher training and development, recognising the need for well-trained, confident teachers.

Al Noor has responded positively to the need for greater emphasis in the area of information technology, and it is now possible for students throughout the school to qualify for Cambridge ICT diplomas at various levels, in addition to their IGCSE, AS, and A Level qualifications.

These certificates provide an added incentive for students to improve their proficiency and ultimately keep up with the pace of technological developments.

Al Noor International School is the first school to date in the Gulf region to have been awarded the Oxford Quality Programme in recognition of the strong emphasis it places on the effective teaching of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills and the high standard of its practise and pupil outcomes in these areas.

The Oxford Quality Programme is an agreement between Oxford University Press and selected schools worldwide that share a commitment to excellence in education practises and the teaching of English.
