HRH Prince Salman forms committee to study naming of cities, streets

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday established a ministerial committee to examine the naming of cities, neighbourhoods, villages, suburbs, avenues, roads, squares and intersections.
The committee will be chaired by the Minister of Shura and Representatives Council Affairs, with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture serving as Vice-President, and the Ministers of Works, Cabinet Affairs, Housing and Urban Planning, and Information as members.
As per Resolution No. (37) of 2023, the committee’s responsibilities include studying, preparing reports, and providing recommendations on issues referred to it by the Council of Ministers, ministerial committees, or ministers on naming and renaming of places.
