Premier welcomes visit of Russian delegation to Bahrain

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that there were wider horizons for increasing Bahraini-Russian cooperation in military, technical and other fields to promote security and stability in the region.

In a meeting with Russian President’s Envoy and Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Alexander Fomin here yesterday, HRH the Prime Minister said that the two countries had enough potentials to strengthen their solid-based partnership. He praised Russia’s international political and economic weight as well as military and technical capabilities.

HRH Premier welcomed the visit of the Russian delegation to Bahrain and stressed its importance in enhancing the existing joint cooperation in the economic, trade and military fields.

He expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of the Bahraini-Russian relations in all fields. “ It reflects the depth of the friendship and the two countries’ desire to widen areas of cooperation to achieve their common interests.”

He said that Bahrain was looking forward to availing itself from Russia’s scientific and technical expertise in all fields.

“In this region, our most concern is security and stability. Major countries, including Russia, play a key role in promoting such a security in the region, being a super power with a great influence in international politics,” HRH Premier said. 

Alexander Fomin lauded HRH Premier’s interest in consolidating Bahraini-Russian relations. He praised the Bahrain’s progress and development boom and advanced infrastructure. He also expressed Russia’s desire to enhance cooperation with Bahrain in all fields, particularly the technical and military industries field.
