Royal win

The Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and leader of the Royal Endurance team, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hosted a reception ceremony in the presence of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of Bahrain’s Athletics Association, in honour of the Royal Endurance team. The team had won several medals in the championship held in Chile recently.

The ceremony, held at the Royal Stables, was attended by officials and Royal Team members. Bahraini rider Fahad Al Khatri won the first place after dominating the individual rider category of the championship, while Bahrain Royal Endurance team was crowned the winner in the team category.

Al Khatri finished the five stages of the 120-km race in five hours 20 minutes and 57 seconds, ahead of Emirati riders Saeed Al Muhairi and Saeed Al Farisi, who crossed the finish line in second and third places respectively. Royal Endurance team consisted of Mohammed Al Khatri, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Salim Sabt, Dana Al Binghadeer Al Dossary and Fahad Al Khatri finished in first place overall in the team category in a combined time of 17 hours 38 minutes and 16 seconds.
