HM the King lauds legislative branch ‘pivotal role’ in Kingdom’s progress and development

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has praised the Shura and Representatives Councils for their contributions and dedicated efforts in nation-building.

HM the King lauded the pivotal role of the legislative branch in serving the development march, boosting the democratic approach, defending the supreme interests of the nation and achieving citizens’ aspirations.

This came as His Majesty received Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal at Safriya Palace yesterday.

The legislative leaders extended to HM the King heartfelt congratulations on the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him many happy returns, abundant health and happiness as well as further growth, security and prosperity to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

HM the King exchanges Ramadan good wishes with Chairman Al Saleh and Speaker Zainal, thanking them for their noble feelings marking the occasion. His Majesty reviewed the local issues, including the latest developments in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

He praised the Councils’ initiatives in supporting the national efforts to effectively handle the pandemic, stressing the kingdom’s ability to overcome challenges with strength, determination and collective cooperation.

Wise leadership

Chairman Al Saleh paid tribute to HM King Hamad, hailing his wise leadership to achieve sustainable development.

He praised the royal support to the legislative branch of government, lauding Bahrain’s landmark development strides in the prosperous era of HM the King.

Al Saleh expressed congratulations to HM the King on the holy month, wishing Bahrain and its loyal people, the Arab and Islamic nations more progress.

In a statement after meeting HM the King, he lauded the royal affirmation of the values of tolerance and amity.

The Shura Council head commended the royal follow-up of national efforts aimed to combat the coronavirus, hailing HM the king's directives to provide vaccines for citizens and residents free of charge.

He praised the pivotal role played by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in following up the implementation of the measures issued by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19.
