A sigh of relief for Bahrain International Circuit chief

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa heaved a sigh of relief after the season-opening round of the 2021 FIA F1 World Championship came to a close with flying colours yesterday.
He said: “The last four months have been an experience that I shall never forget.
Global constraints of the pandemic, combined with the operational challenges of four F1 events in four months meant that, as a collective, Team Bahrain had to work smarter than ever before.
Thinking differently and creatively, acting with more energy than ever, together with a relentless pursuit for excellence, has enabled us to deliver the magic of F1.
“I am deeply proud of what we have been able to achieve.
With that, I pay a particular tribute to the team at BIC. I believe that our mantra of Pride, Passion and Performance has never been more visible than in the last few weeks. “To the fans who came to BIC over the weekend and the many millions watching at home, we thank you for sharing our passion for the sport.”
