Muharraq police arrest woman for unlicensed cosmetic service

Muharraq police announced arresting a 32-year-old woman for allegedly providing cosmetic services without a license. Police also accused the suspect of violating coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols set by the national team for combating the deadly outbreak.
The Director-General of Muharraq Governorate Police Department said the investigation was in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. The accused, the director-general said, was found providing services to women in cosmetic hospitals without permission from the competent authorities.
The arrest, the official said, followed a tip-off received at the directorate regarding unlicensed activities practised by a woman. The ensuing investigation resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspect red-handed.
Police also confiscated materials and equipment used by the suspect.
