The Indian Community Relief Fund (“ICRF”), under the patronage of the Embassy of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is organising this year’s art carnival online entitled ‘Spectra 2020’.
The art carnival aims at encouraging and honouring artistic skills among the youth and is the largest art competition for students in the Kingdom. In view of the current pandemic, the ‘Faber Castell Spectra 2020’ carnival will be held online tomorrow.
As usual, participants are divided into four age groups – five to eight years, eight to 11 years, 11 to 14 years and 14 to 18 years. Participation for students has only been permitted by way of registrations by schools/institutions.
Additionally, an adult category has been included for those of 18 years and above wishing to take part in the competition. All participants will be provided with drawing paper and materials. Top three winners in each category will receive individual trophies and certificates and all participants shall receive participation certificates.
Fifteen schools are participating in this year’s contest: Indian School; New Indian School; Asian School; Sacred Heart School; New Millennium School; Al Noor International School; New Horizon School; Ibn Al Hythm Islamic School; Bahrain Indian School; Al Mahd Day Boarding School; Quality Education School; Hawar International School; AMA International School; New Zing Kindergarten and Sneha Children.
The winning entries and other outstanding creations by the children will feature in the Wall Calendars and Desk-Top Calendars designed for the year 2021. These Calendars will be launched at a function to be held on 2 January 2021.
A large number of each of these calendars will be made available to all sponsors, corporates, banks, insurance companies, educational institutions, clubs, associations and businesses. This is the 12th year of Spectra.
Over 4000 students participated in last year’s event which was held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, Sanabis.
