Bahrain, Israel sign MoUs on technical cooperation, innovation and transfer of technology

Bahrain and Israel have signed yesterday three Memorandums of Understanding (MoU)s in the areas of technical cooperation, innovation and transfer of technology, as well as collaboration in environmental systems for small and medium enterprises.
The signing ceremony was held at Waldorf Astoria in Jerusalem during the official visit of a Bahraini delegation to Israel, headed by Industry, Commerce and Industry Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani. The ceremony was attended by Amir Peretz, Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry.

During the event, Al Zayani expressed utmost happiness to unleashing the economic relations among both countries, underlining the importance of exploring business opportunities among both countries due to the great potential of the Bahraini and Israeli economies. For his part, the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry emphasised the importance of developing joint business between the two countries, and exchanging experiences in various fields. He called for the formation of working groups to develop economic and commercial cooperation. He explained that the signing of more memoranda of cooperation between Bahrain and Israel will positively contribute to pushing Israeli-Palestinian relations, and he looked forward to more joint projects and trade visits in the coming period.

Meanwhile three Bahraini-Israeli working groups yesterday held meetings in which they discussed areas of joint cooperation in the fields of tourism, business and innovation, in the presence of a number of officials from both countries. The working groups’ meetings featured extensive discussions on how to activate the memoranda of understanding concluded between the two countries. They also discussed the projects that could be launched during the coming period in order to achieve economic results.
