Normal operations resume at BIA
The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced that it had resumed its normal operations at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA), following the closure of the runway due to an oil leak from a plane, which arrived yesterday evening.
The runway was closed for around an hour, starting 04.27 pm in a precautionary measure for the safety of passengers, the BAC said in a statement issued last night. Five flights were diverted to Dammam Airport and another to Kuwait International Airport.
The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced that it had taken all necessary and required measures in such cases to remove the leaked oil from the runway and ensure safe plane landing and take-off.
